Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

OC Meme thought I'd try it

I. Choose up to five (5) of your favorite original story characters that will embark in this role-play. If you don't have five (5) then leave them blank (or create a character on the spot!) Be sure to give a little description of them:

1. Blake (Teen version)
2. Hayley (Yeah I use myself in fics XD)
3. Amelia
4. Amy (Teen version)
5.Jak "Greeny" (Teen version)

II. Character Two has taken a part-time job as a substitute teacher at a learning facility. How did their first day go? What were they teaching?

Me: Gahh! I can't take these brats!
Kids:

Me: Stop lookin at me I don't know what to do!

III. Character One and Character Five are hired as police officers and end up placing Character Three into custody. Does everything go smoothly?

Jak "Greeny": Urm Blake she freaks me out.. Didn't she try and kill Uncle Jak?
Amelia: *looks at Blake* You're Jak's son huh? *evil smirk, moves towards him*
Blake: *tasers Amelia* Don't fucking touch me
Jak "Greeny":

That was easy

IV. Character One and Character Two happen do discover a strange artifact while rummaging through an abandoned warehouse. Both fight and argue on over the artifact until one of them wins. Explain what the artifact looks like.

Blake: *looks at the weapon* It looks like a Peacemaker but it's not
Me: It's soo awesome looking..I want it!
Blake: You're too small Ottsel so I'm having it
Me: *sighs* Fine have it

V. Depending on who wins the strange artifact, either Character One or Character Two are granted two wishes. The first wish is granted but the second wish is interrupted and used by Character Four . How did it happen? What were the wishes?

Blake: Cool I wish for new eco powers *gets some*
Me: I still say I won that
Blake: *sighs* I won though I wish for..
Amy: A Crocadog * Crocadog appears*
Blake: Jak tell your Sister stop ruining things for me!

VI. Character Five is asked to give a eulogy for the passing of Character Three . What exactly did they say about Character Three ?

Jak "Greeny": She was a real scary bitch and yeah a crazy fucker
Blake: Urm.. Your mom looks pissed off cause you said that

VII. Either through meditation or the act of magic, Character Two ends up fighting their doppelgänger from an alternate universe. Only one wins

Me: I won! I've always fucking wanted to fight myself

Alt Me: Am I normally this retarded?

VIII. All of the Characters unwilling get together to play a game of cards. How well does this go? Give details.
Me: You lied I thought this was strip poker

Blake: What?!
Amelia: Why am I here?! I hate you guys
Me: BITCH!
Amy: What am I suppost to do?

Jak "Greeny": I won!

IX. Curiosity gets the best of Character Five and they decide to go snooping around in Character Three's room. What do they find? Is it something they wish they hadn't?
Jak "Greeny" :

I found her underwear it's pink

Blake:

Dude we're suppost to be finding out her plans not looking a her panties and bras
Jak "Greeny": Dude they have hearts on em

Blake: Daxter is clearly your dad

X. Character Two and Character Four are trapped in a cave. Character Two expresses strange feelings for Character Four . Before Character Four can agree, Character One saves them. What happens next?
Me: Urm..This is weird but apparently I kinda like you..
Amy:

Urm..I
Blake: AND BLAKE SAVES THE DAY!

Me: Son of a bitch!

XI. All of the Characters have been stranded on an island for a long time. They are finally rescued but there is only one survivor. What exactly happened on this island? How did they get there? Why did one person survive?
Blake: I'm the hero of Haven's son.. How could I not survive? Shame that big wave washed everyone else away

XII. In an alternate universe, Character Five is an animal/human (if they are an animal… then a human.) What type of animal/human are they? Describe them.
Jak "Greeny": I'm a elf?! With red and green hair *sighs* Why dad did I get red hair?
Amy: Thanks to dad

XIII. Character Three is in jail and is about to be saved by Character Four . Character Four 's plan is flawless yet they somehow end up trapped in jail with Character Three . Where did they go wrong?
Amy: I'm a Ottsel so how did they spot me?
Amelia: You sneezed and they herd you *sighs*
Amy: *laughs* Sorry

XIV. A character of your choice decides to form a cult. Explain what their cult is about.
Me: Happiness and peace of mind! *laughs*
Blake: Not this again
Me: Join it and smile or else

Jak "Greeny": She scares me sometimes
Blake:

Me too buddy..Me too

XV. Character Two finds a demonic sword and is offered power if they allow the sword to devour their soul. Do they take the offer? If so, what happens to Character Two?
Me: *grins* Power huh?
Blake: Nope *takes it from me*
Me:

Whyyy you soo mean Blakie?

XVI. Once again, All of the Characters have fallen into the past; they are all playing "house." Who take the roles as the parents? Who are the siblings? Who got stuck playing the pet? Why doesn't the game last long?
Blake: I'll be the dad and Amelia is the mom, Amy is our cat and Jak our dog, Hayley is the kid
Amy: Yay!
Jak "Greeny": Dog? Really?
5 seconds later..
Me: I hate playing house I wanna play something else

Blake:

XVII. All of the Characters have decided to go camping. They all sit listlessly around a campfire until one of the characters decides to tell a scary story. What is the scary story about? Who gets scared? Who keeps interrupting? Who fell asleep? And, who ate all of the food?
Blake: She ran to the car but it wouldn't open and..
Me:

I dun like this story *hugs Jak "Greeny"*
Jak: *eats marshmellows* Guys we've got no marshmellows left
Amy: *asleep*
Amelia: Why am I here?!

XVIII. Before we go, All of your Characters want to take a moment to tell you what they think about the other characters in this adventure.
1. Blake: Everyone was pretty nice minus Amelia she's a bitch..I wanna taser her again
